I was able to immediately begin trying out some of the skills learned. I have become more aware of the linguistic breakdowns in my conversations that result in many miscues and confusion. (if you look carefully enough you'll see that the first four linguistic breakdowns have my name written all over them!). I have even practiced declining requests. Over booking my time and commitments have often left me feeling tired, used, and frustrated. My newly practiced phrase is, "Let me get back to you on that" It gives me time to think and remember that "no" is a word too.
